Water tower is the symbol of Phan Thiet city. It was built by brick from 1928 to 1934, by the design of the architect Sophanouvon, the Prince of Laos (who was appointed to work in Viet Nam by the government of Indochine, later he became the Head of the State of Laos'PDR), and the construction of Ưng Du.
