La cunbre - La cunbre é uma região situada no meio da cordilheira aonde começa a descida para os yungas através da 'estrada da morte', a região atinge até 4560 m de altura, a estrada passa pela região pelo fato de que é a parte mais baixa da cordilheira e facilita a ligação entre a capital e a região tropical de La paz.

Yungas - A região de yungas é bastante conhecida pela sua estrada considerada a mais perigosa do mundo, a estrada é conhecida como o caminho da morte tem aproximadamente 80 km, foi construída com o objetivo de ligar a cidades principais de yungas a cidade de La Paz na década de 30, a construção foi feita por prisioneiros da guerra Del chaco, a estrada tem em sua margem declínios com mais de 800 metros de profundidade por isso um acidente quase sempre é fatal, yungas é um lugar de clima quente isso facilita a existência de muita biodiversidade tanto que a cada ano descobrem muitas espécies endêmicas.
