Lower Hodrusa reservoir - the dam - Lower Hodrusa reservoir - the dam, Hodrusa-Hamre in Slovakia

Upper Hodrusa water reservoir - Slovakia, Hodrusa-Hamre, upper hodrusa reservoir. The upper hodrusa reservoir was from the year 1960 drained and abandoned. First after more than 40 year was drawed on year 2002. Parameters of reservoir: earthy dam 225 m long, 7 m width on top, height 15 m, maximal volume of water was 255 800 cubic metres, actually about 80 000 til 100 000 cubic metres.

Lower Hodrusa reservoir, dam - Slovakia, Hodruša-Hámre. Water level on reservoir is regulated by bottom water outlet on the foot of the dam through traditional manipulation wooden house in the middle of the dam, so called 'monk'. The reservoir is inscribed in UNESCO world heritage list 'Technical monuments of historical town Banska Stiavnica and its vincinity'

Upper hodrusa water reservoir - Slovakia, Hodrusa-Hamre, upper reservoir. Upper water reservoir was built before 16 century, later, it was renewed several times, reconstructed and increased. Latest big general rebuilding was carried by Samuel Mikoviny on 18th century. By reconstruction on year 2008 come in view a solidly stone pave of upstream of shell of earthy dam.

Lotrign was step by step built from 15th century as dewaterin gallery for Hodrusa and later also for Banska Stiavnica golden silver mines. Final length in 19th century was more than 12 km. Lower part 5 km long is used at this time as transporting way for golden ores from Rosalia mine.

Lower hodrusa water reservoir - Slovakia/Hodrusa-Hamre/lower reservoir. The lower water reservoir (528 m. above sea level) was built in 1739-1740 by Samuel Mikoviny below the older upper Hodrusa water reservoir. Earthy dam parametres: 199 m long, 5,7 m wide and 20 m high. Teh maximal volume of acumulated water is 641 000 cubic metres. Till this time the water is used as technical water for gold ore preparing plant on lower mine plant in Hodruša-Hámre. Technical monument inscribed in UNESCO world heritage list Technical monuments of historical town Banska Stiavnica and its vincinity.
